Shanelle Bailey, MPH
SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER
Shanelle Bailey serves as the Senior Program Manager for BMHCE and is a public health advocate whose study and research focuses on urban health disparities.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University and a Master of Public Health from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science.
Shanelle is a pioneering force in combating birth disparities rooted in anti-Black racism. With a focus on structural reform, she champions initiatives to confront systemic inequities within healthcare. Through advocacy and community empowerment, she drives transformative change, aiming to ensure every birthing person receives equitable care.
Shanelle amplifies the voices of Black communities and challenges institutional biases.
As a member of the BMHCE executive leadership team, Shanelle strives to pave the way for a future where maternal health disparities are eradicated, and every individual receives dignified and respectful care.
